Summary: lang/rust: does not compile
Product: Ports & Packages
Version: Latest
Hardware: amd64
OS: Any
Status: New
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: ---
Component: Individual Port(s)

output from "make >make.log 2>&1"
I always had problems when trying to install Rust from the ports, but I did not
bother because the Firefox components requiring Rust were optional. For Firefox
58.0, the option is gone. Rust now seems like an obligatory prerequisite for
Firefox.
It does not matter which Rust options are selected in "make config". For the
attached log, I had deselected all of the 4 options. The first error in the
output is:
command did not execute successfully: "gmake"
"INCDIR=/usr/ports/lang/rust/work/rustc-1.23.0-src/src/libstd/../li
bbacktrace" "-j" "8"
expected success, got: exit code: 2
I also tried to compile it on the laptop, but there I ran out of disk space
and, after fixing that, out of swap space. People with older hardware will have
a hard time when they want to install Firefox from the ports.
