I got Bugzilla's request to act on this ticket, but, as I said above, I am not
knowledgeable enough to submit a patch.

I could I test or help in other ways.

x11-toolkits/swt is even more outdated, being at version 3.5.2_4

Being x11-toolkits/swt port also out-of-date, that port should perhaps be
updated to the latest release, and the swt-devel port deleted.
