This is definitely a must for any software in active development.
The latest MASTER may occasionally have bugs that prevent proper compilation,
but these are very rare cases that are dealt with upstream really fast. On the
other hand it has tons of bug fixes and new features every single day.
There was a new official release a few days ago, but the previous one (on which
the current FreeBSD port is based on) was from... January! It would really be a
shame to miss out on 9 months' worth of bug fixes and new features. More than
1900 commits to be precise.
