downgrade git
Product: Ports & Packages

OS: Any
Status: New
Severity: Affects Only Me

Hi Torsten,
Unfortunately there is a bug in gitlab with git version >= 2.11, protected
branches rights management not working (even owners cannot push into protected
branches, nor group or project level):
https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/issues/25301
Since quarterly packages have git 2.11 this is affecting everyone with an
up-to-date system on FreeBSD.
Temporary fix until Freebsd version not reaching 8.15 would be downgrade git to
2.10 but the packages servers are offering 2.11 (or 2.6 from release_3 folder),
and I'm unable to downgrade at all.
Any idea how I could get a git-2.10.txz or downgrade via ports?
Thanks a lot.
