            Bug ID: 216084
           Summary: ports-mgmt/poudriere-devel: (e.g. at) -r431413: Unable
                    to use just
                    /usr/local/etc/poudriere.d/head-cortex-a7-poudriere.co
                    nf
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Only Me
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: bdrewery at FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: markmi at dsl-only.net
             Flags: maintainer-feedback?(bdrewery at FreeBSD.org)

In order for:

poudriere jail -l

to work required a poudriere.conf file that was jail-independent
with:

ZPOOL
BASEFS

defined, such as in:

/usr/local/etc/poudriere.conf

instead of only having:

/usr/local/etc/poudriere.d/head-cortex-a7-poudriere.conf

(a jail specific file).

(I'd guess NO_ZFS would fit in with these.)

The documentation, examples, etc. do not make clear up front
what poudriere.conf definitions need to be in what scope when
some possibilities do not work for all commands.

I might suggest that ZPOOL, NO_ZFS, and BASEFS be grouped
together first in the example/sample file(s) and be commented
for the need to be in:

/usr/local/etc/poudriere.conf
or:
/usr/local/etc/poudriere.d/poudriere.conf

(or whatever the full limitation for where is for those). There
may be other appropriate points to note such requirements.

The requirements do appear to constrain having distinct ZPOOL's
for differing contexts. Similarly for BASEFS.
