            Bug ID: 216985
           Summary: shells/bash: following pkg-message wrecks the system
                    boot
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: amd64
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Only Me
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: ehaupt at FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: godevilove at ya.ru

             Flags: maintainer-feedback?(ehaupt at FreeBSD.org)

1.
pkg info -D bash
bash-4.4.12:
Always:
======================================================================

bash requires fdescfs(5) mounted on /dev/fd

If you have not done it yet, please do the following:

        mount -t fdescfs fdesc /dev/fd

To make it permanent, you need the following lines in /etc/fstab:

        fdesc   /dev/fd         fdescfs         rw      0       0

======================================================================

2. adding the suggested line to the '/etc/fstab' causes the system to fail to
boot properly, it boots into a single user mode instead.
