This type of PR is against the guidelines:
https://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/articles/problem-reports/pr-when.html

specifically listed as not appropriate:
"Notification of updates to externally maintained software (mainly ports, but
also externally maintained base system components such as BIND or various GNU
utilities)."

If you had a patch to update it along with proof of basic testing, that would
be appropriate.  Feel free to reopen when you have such a patch.
