For the following option selection, jabber support isn't built, although
selected:

Options        :
        DEBUG          : off
        DOCS           : on
        EXAMPLES       : on
        GLIB           : on
        GNUTLS         : off
        JABBER         : on
        LIBEVENT       : off
        LIBPURPLE      : on
        MSN            : off
        NSS            : off
        OPENSSL        : on
        OSCAR          : off
        OTR            : on
        SKYPE          : off
        TWITTER        : off
        YAHOO          : off

As a quick hack test, I passed --jabber=1 to configure, manually. Then it does
build it, and confirmed it's working, also.
