Pidgin, compiled with nss support (default port option) is not connecting to
skype servers

pidgin nss: Handshake failed  (-5961)

Generally, this means protocol or syphers mismatch. I was able to workaround
the issue unchecking nss support and use gnutls. 

Can you check that nss is working?
