I agree with your renaming strategy. That was what I intended to do about the
two releases.

How do we go about this? Who's job is it to do the renaming?

Also, I have an update for 2.3.10 coming very soon (today probably). How should
I proceed with a PR for the upgrade patch?

Thanks for the heads up about the gnu-make fixes, I'll try to get 'make' to
pass with DEVELOPER="yes" without those patches.
