I don't have a lot to add here because I'm brand new to galera and haven't
reached the point of having it work at all.

Whether this should be a separate port or not, I don't know. However since
MariaDB 10.1 now includes the WSREP bits by default (as I understand), does
that make it the easiest place to start before tackling mysql and percona?
