Bug ID: 207189
Summary: ftp/pure-ftpd mysql authentication problems
Product: Ports & Packages
Version: Latest
Hardware: amd64
OS: Any
Status: New
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: ---

Hi,
I have been using the same pure-ftpd config for years, on multiple server
versions (I think since 8.X). It authenticates users from external mysql
database with passwords hashed with mysql's password function. 'MYSQLCrypt any'
directive is used.
This does not work on jailed 10.2 server. If 'MYSQLCrypt any' is set, it won't
read any passwords I tried (cleartext, md5, sha1, password). cleartext, md5 and
sha1 work if I set MYSQLCrypt accordingly. password does not work even when I
set MYSQLCrypt explicitly.
How can I make this work on 10.2? I have hundreds of users with password-hashed
passwords.
Thank you in advance.
