This fell through the cracks because: "Can't be In Progress without a (real)
Assignee" and the maintainers feedback wasn't requested

If possible, can anyone who can reproduce the crash, please include a (gdb)
backtrace of the core file please, ideally with the port build WITH_DEBUG
