Please cancel this bug report. The problem was with my setup.

n.b. In my setup, I have patched the science/libkml port to generate a
libkmlminizip instead of a libminizip, because the latter conflicts with
archivers/minizip. With the March 6 update to graphics/gdal, I did not properly
merge the associated patch for gdal so that it did not find libkml any more.
