My feeling is that I'd prefer to leave the pkg as-is. I'm not aware of any
other distribution that defaults to the non-root user, and I prefer to match
upstream as much as possible.

For those that would prefer to change the default behavior, the upstream
documentation is adequate to make the changes as desired.
