That's odd, I'm not sure how that happened.  I generated the patch using `diff
-u Makefile.orig Makefile`, so I'm not sure how both orig and dest ended up
with Makefile.orig.  I do know how to generate patches, and don't know what
happened here.  Sorry for the inconvenience; I'll examine my patches before
sending them in future.
