Build of latest chromium, r364870 2014-08-14 21:48:32, fails as follows:

Package libusb-1.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libusb-1.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
Package 'libusb-1.0', required by 'world', not found
gyp: Call to 'pkg-config --libs-only-l libusb-1.0' returned exit status 1.
*** [do-configure] Error code 1

Stop in /usr/ports/www/chromium.
** Command failed [exit code 1]: /usr/bin/script -qa
/tmp/portinstall20140815-10191-1a79j0b env make
** Fix the problem and try again.
** Listing the failed packages (-:ignored / *:skipped / !:failed)
        ! www/chromium  (unknown build error)

Was using "portinstall chromium".

"uname -a" gives:
