checking for pkg-config... no
*** The pkg-config script could not be found. Make sure it is
*** in your path, or set the PKG_CONFIG environment variable
*** to the full path to pkg-config.
*** Or see http://www.freedesktop.org/software/pkgconfig to get pkg-config.
configure: error: Library requirements (gtkmm-2.4 >= 2.0.0 libglademm-2.4 >= 2.1.0) not met; consider
adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so
pkg-config can find them.
===> Script "configure" failed unexpectedly.
Please report the problem to arundel at h3c.de [maintainer] and attach the
"/wrkdirs/usr/ports/emulators/vba/work/VisualBoyAdvance-1.7.2/config.log"
including the output of the failure of your make command. Also, it might be
a good idea to provide an overview of all packages installed on your system
(e.g. a /usr/local/sbin/pkg-static info -g -Ea).
*** Error code 1
Stop.
make: stopped in /usr/ports/emulators/vba

NOTE: all the relevant details you can find from an archive I created. It contains config.log, pkg.log (list of packages in repository vba was built against) and all packages' port config options. Get the archive from: http://koti.kapsi.fi/~isoa/pr/2014- 04-30/vba_config_fail.tar.xz
