security/crack has some serious problems with it.
The most obvious is the pkg-plist which lists a directory, and not the files contained within.
As a result, the package is empty.
When it's added to a repo by pkg, the error "../crack-5.0.txz is not a valid package, no +MANIFEST found" shows.

Looking at the makefile, this thing is a mess. It's not just a problem of the plist, the way it's installed is strange too.

I suggest porting the pkgsrc version of it:
https://github.com/jsonn/pkgsrc/tree/trunk/security/crack
