FreeBSD zignix.zignet.local 8.2-STABLE FreeBSD 8.2-STABLE #0: Tue Jun 21 22:47:52 EDT 2011 deathcipris at zignix.zignet.local:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/ODIN amd64
>Description:
Command:
mount_smbfs -I HOSTIP //user at hostname:445/share /mnt/node
yields an error of Connection Reset by Peer.
Without :445
yields an error of Connection Refused
There are no firewalls in between connection.
NetBios IS disabled and CANNOT be enabled.
According the Samba documentation, mount_smbfs should fail over to SMB over TCP 445 once a connection via NetBios fails.
DNS is configured properly, smb.conf has smb port locked into 445, netbios is disabled there.
>How-To-Repeat:
Disable Netbios on a network adapter on a Windows host share and attempt to connect via a mount_smbfs command.
