>Description:
After installing package gnome-2.2.30.1 and rebooting could not get logged in. The gnome desktop login screen appeared and I entered my user name and password. The system accepted this and then presented a black screen followed by a brief glimpse of the text boot screen. This was followed by the gnome desktop login screen being displayed again. This will continue indefinitely.

Also, the restart and shutdown buttons to no work. They display and error box when clicked on.

The .xsession-errors log contains this message: /libexec/ld_elf.so.1: shared object "livintl.so.9 not found, required by "libgnome-keyring.so.0
