gnome-games aborts with ggz error.

I am trying to update using portmaster -a my Freebsd 7.2-Stable#4 machine. Same results if just updating gnome-games I've cvsup'd a few times, no fix yet.
it aborts in gnome-games with the following:

I have found only one Google message with anything related:
"Seems like gnome-games now require ggz-devel snapshot with new API (and ggzdmod library), which is not available in ports."
Any help would be appreciated? How to build without ggz, without gnome-games (i believe i could do gnome-lite) i almost never use the games, but i would like to have the full gnome just in case.
