FreeBSD avalon.dobu.local 7.0-STABLE FreeBSD 7.0-STABLE #2: Wed Mar 26 13:58:21 CET 2008     sascha at avalon.dobu.local:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/AVALON  i386

>Description:
print/lyx will crash on startup with:

terminate called after throwing an instance of '__gnu_cxx::__concurrence_lock_error'
  what():  __gnu_cxx::__concurrence_lock_error
Abort trap: 6 (core dumped)

Versions:
 boost-1.34.1
 lyx-1.4.5.1

CFLAGS unchanged, QT support not used in lyx.

I've verified that it does /not/ crash if thread
support is disabled in boost.

>How-To-Repeat:
install print/lyx with default options and start lyx
>Fix:
disable thread support in devel/boost
