>Description:
After running portupgrade Dec. 14, I notice 1) Rhythmbox doesn't seem to play most the songs I have mounted on a USB harddrive due to an 'internal data flow error'. It also plays songs from my ipod, connected via a usb hub, very sloppy and jerky. With mplayer, however, I can play the failed songs on the hard drive perfectly and I can play songs from the iPod perfectly.
If I run Rhythmbox from a console I get the following feedback when I start the application:
** (rhythmbox:24400): WARNING **: hal_initialize failed: Failed to connect to socket /var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket: No such file or directory
Not sure if this is related to the issues or not.
Any ideas on what I should look into?
>How-To-Repeat:
Mount hard drive/ipod, fire up rhythmbox, always a problem.
