>Description:
When trying to install libiconv into non-default directories, a few things mess up. Obviously, not all commands recognise the different PREFIX.
>How-To-Repeat:
Steps to reproduce:
- - - - -
# cd /usr/ports/converters/libiconv
# make PREFIX=/usr install
libiconv has the following tunable option(s):
WITHOUT_EXT...
[...]
install -o root -g wheel -m 444 ./iconv_open.3.html /usr/share/doc/libiconv/iconv_open.3.html
===> Compressing manual pages for libiconv-1.9.2_2
/usr/share/man/man1/iconv.1: No such file or directory
/usr/share/man/man3/iconv.3: No such file or directory
/usr/share/man/man3/iconv_open.3: No such file or directory
/usr/share/man/man3/iconv_close.3: No such file or directory
===> Running ldconfig
/sbin/ldconfig -m /usr/lib
===> Registering installation for libiconv-1.9.2_2
#
- - - - -
Not surprising, similar things happen on deinstall:
- - - - -
# make deinstall
===> Deinstalling for converters/libiconv
===> libiconv-1.9.2_2 has a different PREFIX: /usr, skipping
# make PREFIX=/usr deinstall
===> Deinstalling for converters/libiconv
===> Deinstalling libiconv-1.9.2_2
pkg_delete: file '/usr/share/man/man1/iconv.1.gz' doesn't exist
pkg_delete: file '/usr/share/man/man3/iconv.3.gz' doesn't exist
pkg_delete: file '/usr/share/man/man3/iconv_open.3.gz' doesn't exist
pkg_delete: file '/usr/share/man/man3/iconv_close.3.gz' doesn't exist
pkg_delete: couldn't entirely delete package (perhaps the packing list is
incorrectly specified?)
