 They should work (eg. bakery distfile can be downloaded from 
 ftp://ftp.planetmirror.com/pub/gnome/sources/bakery/2.4/bakery-2.4.1.tar.bz2 
 and satisfies checksums, though this location doesn't seem to be listed 
 in MASTER_SITE_GNOME).
