 Gerrit, are there any differences between the two 1.0 / 1.0.0 tarballs
 besides the docs missing from simpletest_1.0.0.tgz (as opposed to
 simpletest_1.0.tar.gz)?
 
 Is it really necessary to install the package.xml file? (I'd prefer
 the docs over the package.xml file. Would that break anything
 significant?)
 
 I filed a PR for the missing docs at

 Let's see what happens, perhaps there'll be another version in a few
 days.
