portsnap extract silently deletes any Makefile.local configuration files that have been used to configure ports.
Since Makefile.local is/was at least a semi-supported mechanism, IMHO portsnap should at a minimum complain if Makefile.local exists anywhere in the ports tree (though preserving them would obviously be nicer).
Otherwise it's a smoking gun for people upgrading to portsnap...b
