I launched gnuplot at a remote host and tried to display the graphics
at my local host, running FreeBSD-6.0. The graphics crashed. The

This happens to several remote hosts, including RedHat/Enterprise Linux 3,
SGI/Irix-6.5, and SGI/Altix/ia64/SuSE(kernel 2.6). However, it does not
happen to RedHat/Enterprise Linux 4, or IBM-p690/AIX-5.2.
