IMP's Makefile checks that PHP is linked with a database client, but
it was only looking for libmysqlclient.so.10.

(I'm pretty sure to have sent such a patch some months ago, but there
is no trace neither in gnats nor in my mailbox...)

Install PHP with MySQL 4, and then try to install IMP: you'll get this

Please configure PHP with a database support.
MySQL, PostgreSQL and Sybase (CTLIB or DBLIB)
can be used with PHP AND IMP.
