There is an extraneous patch in /usr/ports/editors/ted/file called 	
patch-appUtil::utilPrinter.c that causes make to fail.
>How-To-Repeat:
Enter /usr/ports/editors/ted/  and do make. The patch-appUtil::utilPrinter.c
applies the same fix that patch-appUtil-utilPrinter.c applies. Thus the make 
fails.
>Fix:

 remove the patch-appUtil::utilPrinter.c from /usr/ports/editors/ted/files
