In discussion with manu and bapt, we should accept:

.pkg <proposed compression-agnostic format>
.tzst <tar + zstd>
.txz <tar + xz, current format>
.tbz <tar + bz, uninteresting>
.tgz <tar + gzip>
.tar <uncompressed tar>
