for sure this is a bug.

But I cannot reproduce the issue with file:/// I can with file:// and file:/
but not with file:///

the file:/// is used all over the place in the regression test, so I am very
surprised that it fails for you.

Would you be able to provide a ktrace -i /kdump output?
