extensions installed but not available

It seems to occur with any Template extension, and these are the
"Official" ones created by Sun, so I'm pretty sure the issue
isn't the extension itself.
The workaround is very simple, which just makes me think something
on FBSD is setting the home profile paths incorrectly during
the extraction of the template packages.
