can't save, can't close without freeze and can't use backspace button

Why don't you install the binary? Save yourself a lot of headaches and 
time.... :)

That's the French version, I believe.
put the downloaded file in /usr/local/
tar -xvf OOo_2.2.1_FreeBSD62Intel_install_fr.tbz
and you should be flying... et bonne voyage... :)
