Hello,
yesterday i did two runs of ooobuildbench.sh on FreeBSD/amd64.
Here the results:
-------
ah at abaton:~$ grep 's real' OOo.*ccache*.log && reorder...
1 thread
OOo.noccache.20060610-0840.log: 5h31m49,68s real 4h10m17,56s user 46m56,66s sys
OOo.ccache.20060610-0840.log: 2h17m41,12s real 1h09m25,49s user 35m06,75s sys
2 threads
OOo.noccache.20060610-2346.log: 4h37m57,47s real 3h42m31,99s user 42m04,49s sys
OOo.ccache.20060610-2346.log: 2h34m29,34s real 1h32m17,97s user 37m43,99s sys
-------
Unfortunately the second run (2 threads) had an error in the first part (noccache):
-------
...
1 module(s):
writerperfect
need(s) to be rebuilt
Reason(s):
ERROR: error 65280 occurred while making /usr/ports/editors/openoffice.org-2.0/work/OOC680_m5/writerperfect/util
Attention: if you build and deliver the above module(s) you may prolongue your the build issuing command "build --from writerperfect"
*** Error code 1
-------
so the results are not representative for the both noccache- and ccache-build but give an idea where parallel building does not work.
I have not yet testet the binaries. An earlier build of OOo (de-openoffice.org-2.0.3rc5) failed to execute: the startup-image
appeared, the progress-bar advanced to 25% and Openoffice died. This happened even after clearing out the .openoffice.org2 directory.
