Hi folks,
FreeBSD 5.2
==========
I have OOo 1.1.0 running on my PC working nicely. Now I want to add Chinese
editing function. As per 'zh-openoffice-TW-1.1.0_2' on following link;
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/ports.cgi?query=openoffice&stype=all
I need to install all packages indicated there.
$ ls /var/db/pkg/
found them all installed except following packages. I found them on
/usr/ports/
but some of them with older version;
apache-ant-1.5.4_1 (needs -1.6.1)
bison-1.875_2
gcc-3.4_20031112
javavmwrapper-1.4
jdk
open-motif-2.2.2_1 (needs -2.2.2_2)
unixODBC-2.2.6 (needs -2.2.7)
urwfonts-1.0
zh-arphicttf-2.11_1
zh-ttfm-0.9.5
zip-2.3_1
Shall I install their newer version starting from tarballs. Or just install
them from /usr/ports/
Also follwing packages already install but having their different version
(with older version);
fontconfig-2.2.90_3 (needs -2.2.90_4)
freetype2-2.1.5_1 (needs -2.1.5_2)
gettext-0.12.1 (needs -0.13.1)
glib-2.2.3 (needs -2.2.3_1)
gmake-3.80_1 (needs -3.80_2)
tk-1.2.10_10 (needs -1.2.10_11)
gtk-2.2.4_1 (needs -2.2.4_2)
imake-4.3.0_1 (needs -4.3.0_2)
lcms-1.09,1 (needs -1.1.1)
pkgconfig-0.15.0 (needs -0.15.0_1 )
png-1.2.5_2 (needs -1.2.5_3)
tiff-3.6.0 (needs -3.6.1_1)
Kind advise shall I uninstall all of them and reinstall them from their
tarballs
TIA
B.R.
