OpenOffice build problems

I hit a couple of things on -CURRENT, building the latest openoffice 1.1.
For one thing, the "mozilla" target in the Makefile fails, claiming it
doesn't know the target. If I invoke the sub-targets by hand, though,
the build will go forward okay. I can't figure out why this happens;
the Makefile looks fine to me.
Later on comes an issue for which I can't find a workaround;

The only remotely unusual thing in my environment is that I have
WRKDIRPREFIX set to point off to a different filesystem to get enough
space for the OpenOffice build. Both filesystems are mounted by NFS.
Any hints for me?
