Packages required by openoffice-1.1RC4.tgz

Hello, previous versions of the OO package required no other
packages, and so could presumably be installed on any 4.x system.
The 1.1RC4 package looks like it depends on quite a few
packages, according to "pkg_info -r". Is this correct and
intentional?

The required version numbers of some of the required packages,
such as libmng, glib, gettext, gtk, and ORBit, are greater than
the version numbers of those packages as of 4.8-RELEASE.
Is it correct to say that 1.1RC4 is no longer installable
in any stock 4.x system, or even a stock 4.8-RELEASE system, but
requires a 4.8-STABLE system, as far as package versions
are concerned?

There seem to be several version conflicts. For example,
according to "pkg_info -r", 1.1RC4 requires both gettext-0.12.1
and gettext-0.11.5_1. Does that make sense?

Other examples (where "-->" means "requires"):
  --> lcms-1.09
  --> libmng-1.0.5_1 --> lcms-1.09,1

  --> libiconv-1.8_2
  --> gettext-0.12.1 --> libiconv-1.9.1_1

  --> imake-4.3.0
  --> gtk-1.2.10_10 --> imake-4.3.0_1

  --> XFree86-libraries-4.3.0_1
  --> gtk-1.2.10_10 --> XFree86-libraries-4.3.0_6

  --> fontconfig-2.1_6
  --> gtk-1.2.10_10 --> XFree86-libraries-4.3.0_6
        --> fontconfig-2.2.90_3

  --> freetype2-2.1.3_1
  --> gtk-1.2.10_10 --> XFree86-libraries-4.3.0_6
        --> fontconfig-2.2.90_3 --> freetype2-2.1.4_1

Are these a problem for the FreeBSD package system,
or for correct running of 1.1RC4?

Is it an option to install 1.1RC4 forcibly (pkg_add -f)
and its required packages but at their versions as of
4.8-RELEASE, instead of 4.8-STABLE, to keep
all version numbers consistent at 4.8-RELEASE.
Would that work?

TIA
