Openoffice Ximian Patches?

Hi,

I currently use Gentoo Linux - but I'd quite like to move over to FreeBSD.
However, one useful thing I use is the openoffice-ximian ebuild available on
Gentoo.

There is talk here:
http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-openoffice/2003-October/000271.html
of looking at incorporating this patch into the freebsd port.

I was wondering what the situation is regarding this?
