configure error on libreoffice / FreeBSD 8.2

Hi,

libreoffice-3.5.2_1 fails to build on my FreeBSD 8.2 system .  3.4.5 built
without errors on the same system.  /usr/ports is up to date .

My system:
FreeBSD <hostname> 8.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 8.2-RELEASE #1: Mon Mar 14 21:01:10
EDT 2011     root@<hostname>:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/MINE  amd64

Configure dies with this error:
checking for Boost headers version >= 0... no
configure: error: cannot find Boost headers version >= 0

But I have installed:
/var/db/pkg/boost-jam-1.45.0    /var/db/pkg/boost-libs-1.45.0_2

Note they are in a $LOCALBASE location, not /usr/local.
