Linux mode

Hello freebsd-newbies,

su-2.05b# pkg_add -r linux_base
Fetching ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-5.1-release/Latest/linux_base.tbz... Done. 
Linux mode is not enabled. 
Loading linux kernel module now... 
kldload: can't load linux: No such file or directory 
The linux kernel module could not be loaded. 
Please enable linux mode manually and retry. 
pkg_add: install script returned error status

What's wrong with that? Just can't get linux mode working. ;-(
