Samba + FTP

Hello freebsd-newbies,

i'm using this command to mount network share from my desctop
workstation.

mount_smbfs //user1 at desctopXP/D$ /mnt/net/disk_d
  
After that, it is fully readable\writeable.

And then i want to make it accessible via my ftp. I can see it, but
when i'm trying to download something, nothing happens. Is there a way
for this to work?
