IBM T21 - Savage IX problem with X

Hey

When I try to start X it replies that it cannot find any displays, I have 
install via's driver for savage (v1.27). The fonny thing is when I i run 
xf86cfg it detects the graphiccard, but not when I have done the setup, I 
have even tried to run X with standard configuration, but not difference, 
the first time I ran X it whiched to graphics mode for less than a second.

Can anyway help me out please?
