Have you looked at the graphics/kdc2tiff port?

Yeah, I looked into that one. That's for the DC-120 which uses a different
"proprietary compressor" than the DC-50 and DC-40.
About two years ago, I contacted Kodak, in reference to getting the specifications
of this file format so I could write a converter myself. I based my letter on the
fact that the DC50 line was no longer being sold, or supported by Kodak, and all
their current hardware writes to jpeg format files. That also I was just one of
many people who still faithfully used it. (Not as often, the CCD is getting "old" and the color is not as good as it used to be.) However, all I got was a few e-mails that ended in "We'll look into it."
