There is a bit of a guide at www.onlamp.com.
I have found KDE to cause a lot of disk thrashing (with 256MB ram), I dont
really like it that much... Plugger was pretty average, although I did only use
it for a few avi's and mpeg's then got rid of it. I use IceWM now... Its
lightweight and functional, its the best I have tried so far. I also use
mozilla with flash and java, which is okay but sometimes wont let me check my
yahoo mail and wont allow me to login to some sites (which say I dont have
java/cookies enabled (?)). I havent bothered with sound yet... There are too
many other cool FreeeBSD things to keep me occupied!
