Please supply more details: output of "ifconfig" and "netstat -rn" for older
version after OpenVPN tunnel successfully established.

What is the task you need OpenVPN within single host for?

Does the problem vanish for recent version if you change netmask from
255.255.255.0 to 255.255.255.255 for point-to-point tun interfaces?
