I would like to add little piece to this as well.
We can reproduce same issue with driver 3.2.12-k

we use simple script to reproduce this:

After about 30-50 loops, we can find ix0 interface with flag UP, but with 'no
carrier' status

FYI, we do temporary downgrade of driver to 3.1.13-k where issue is not
present.
