bce(4) on the Dell PE 2950

Hi,
can you create a wiki page for this (eg
https://wiki.freebsd.org/dev/bce(4)) and put this information in it?
I'm sure this won't be the first time someone asks this question.
Also is it worth modifying the driver to check that this firmware is the
minimum 'good' version installed?
