sockstat / netstat output 8.x vs 7.x

Hi,
         Sorry, I think I am missing something obvious ? The LOCAL 
ADDRESS shows as *:* as well. To me that reads as its listening on 
all interfaces and all ports, no ? RELENG_7 does not have that line 
or notion in its output ?
